On my Atari 7800 Prosystem Console which I won in 2016 from the contest realized here, I noticed the Difficulty Switches when I played Pac-Man and Missile Command for 2600 (Original cartridge made with Picture Label) - Left position is NOVICE and Right position is PRO / EXPERT.

Also, I inserted on my ProSystem Brazilian cartridges made by POLYVOX in Silver Label - Defender, Yars Revenge, Oink, Enduro and Pole Position, all for Atari 2600. They`re NTSC color format and compatible. Only Polyvox products are GENUINE Atari 2600 items manufactured in Brazil (VCS and cartridges).

i was more worried about getting a pic with stage on there to prove it was rolled over.

Yeah that's a good idea.  Might want to put that in a comment as well just in case someone thinks you posted the score wrong and votes no (although someone probably will anyway).

if you don't turn brightness up which I don't you basically have to have a stack of like ten reserve ships when you get to that stage with invisible mines, and even then you have to get lucky to make it through.

I doubt I could ever get through that.  You'd have to have a photographic memory to be able to see which ones disappear for a brief instant, instantly remember where they are, then turn and shoot them just as quickly, along with the other ones that hatch once you shoot the bigger ones.  Too hard for me to do. :P

but I have always meant to try it with brightness up because I think I could beat it that way but it's not really fair.

Yeah, that would be cheating.  I'll have a video camera at some point, and if there was a way on here to gain legit rating back, then I'd redo my score with a video (since mine got a few no votes).  My game would end on Mine Field 32, of course.  And plus I'd have a higher score from my first attempt when I couldn't prove of rolling it over then.

I didn't know about the mine storm III cartridge that's cool info to know thanks.

I never heard about it myself until just a couple of years ago.  I wonder if the guy who got the cart back as a kid still has it.  If so, it's got to be worth a crapload, being the only copy known to exist.

it's a model hp 3000 serial number 0038536 made in Hong Kong, so whatever that tells you. as far as high scores go there is one guy on the Internet that had like a million seven something. the end score on game I posted was like a million six nine something, but I didn't get a picture of it. i was more worried about getting a pic with stage on there to prove it was rolled over. if you don't turn brightness up which I don't you basically have to have a stack of like ten reserve ships when you get to that stage with invisible mines, and even then you have to get lucky to make it through. and yes I believe you were about right on your estimates. I have not heard of anyone beating the game. but I have always meant to try it with brightness up because I think I could beat it that way but it's not really fair. so I guess that's why I have never gotten around to it.its been a couple of months since I played it so I can't remember exactly where it flips over but next time i play it I will pay more attention and let you know. I didn't know about the mine storm III cartridge that's cool info to know thanks.

Addressing your comment part by part...

I am curious about your high score on vectrex mine storm. I play the same version you do on an 82 model vectrex.

I got my Vectrex in '84 actually, so it might not be an '82 model.  It's obviously later than the early model that crashes after level 13.

when I google high scores on this game you seem to be about the highest I find.

That's due to the space dust and alien forces.  Those are worth a ton apiece!

I was wondering what level you usually get to as the points flip over at a million.

Could be level 24 or maybe a bit higher, maybe less; I can't recall off the top of my head.  Space dust and the forces arrive at level 15.

that average puts you at about level 33.

Nope, the invisible mines appear at either level 30 or 32.  My game would just end there as it is unless I turned up the brightness to see the mines.  But I had to quit my game before the score rolled over, and I wasn't near this level.

I was just curious because I figured there were people out there better than me at this game. was also curious if you had ever heard of anyone ever beating the game at level 89

I'm pretty sure it's impossible to get past level 89 on my version.  A guy on YouTube just posted a video at level 100, but he probably has the later, overseas version (which, sure enough, the description was in Spanish, so I'm pretty sure he was in Spain without looking) that goes at least that far.  And with Mine Storm III (only one copy known to ever exist at one point), the people at GCE who gave out that cartridge told the kid he would NEVER be able to beat it.  So I assume that went even higher.
