Real Atari 600XL with real 320K RAM upgrade via parallel port. Shielded RF cable to coax connection just like back in the day. Real Joystick with Best Electronics circuit board. Atari 1050 disk drive in a box with real SIO connector with real US made disc image of Ninja. I didn't even realize this dang game had an ending! I've been playing this since 1986 LOL. Finally beat it. Only took me 36 years.
You can see my handle on the bottom of the TV. It's a big TV so it's hard to fit in the picture :) Real Atari 7800, real Edladdin controller.
Let's do it man :)
Yes vote from me!
I have an HDMI switcher. You have to watch though if you actually want the signal to be HD quality. Mine degrades the signal.
My next project is to find a tube TV that works with a light gun becuase this Trinitron is 1080I and it doesn't do light guns.
And yes, that is like an 800 pound Sony Trinitron TV.
You too man. I just got a gnarly 36" Trinitron for my older game consoles so you will see some pictures of that shortly.
Now go buy these and beat my record!
For an Atari title I actually think it's really fun.
Your sense of humor is perfect by the way lol!
My freaking screen name is ON THE BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER OF THE TV.
Not sure why that post went in 3 times.
Hey so one person voted "I'm not sure I can see your score."
My screen name is on the TV in the lower right corner. Go get your bifocals grandpa and look on the bottom right corner of the screen. Also, the aren't called mimeographs anymore they are called photocopies and cars are no longer horseless carriages.
..but you did get us though. That's clearly below the belt and we are all meat gazers.
It’s a 3 lives game so you can see here on level 10 that I still have 2 lives remaining so therefore only used 1.
Draconian. Atari Age has it :) It's very good too.
I'm drinking heavily and playing this until I beat you.
Prepare thyself Funkmaster.
I think it's kind of funny that the video game crash of 1983 basically allowed poor kids to play Atari well into the 90s. I remember bins of games for a couple of bucks. Froggo games, in particular, were everywhere then. I got Task Force in 1988 and at some point I blew it up with an M80. So many crappy Atari games lol.
I got this game for Christmas of 1987 because my mom found it at a Laneco for like 5 bucks. I really enjoy this game. Yes for me.
It will be a series of screenshots where my hands dictate my emotions now that you mentioned it.
I will not be doing that for Wolfenstein.
Also if you got a first run copy of Draconian at the Portland Retro Game Expo you got a 3d printed prototype base.
Also yes, that is an original copy of Pitfall II Signed by David Crane.
This game is so addicting!
My GOD IS THIS HARD ON LEVEL 3!
I have Best electronics joysticks and I don't want to break them playing Decathlon lol.
Dude! It's the Konami track and field controller!
Like it's actually still fun and challenging right? I feel the same way. I almost had a perfect run and I hit a buzzard. I still wanted to throw my controller, just like 30 years ago lol.
I have the directions and the 1984 Activision catalog in that box too. Toys R Us.
BRUH. Come on here...1 more vote. Somebody find me 1 vote.
Look it that pineapple floating in that glass of booze. Mmmm.
29 is better!
Also: YES VOTE,
Challenge accepted Oyama-San.
Dope hacking skills on the backlight Jin. Gets a yes frome me!
Man this and Alien Crush are two of my favorites. Yes for me!
I can't figure out why 1 person rated it as "untrustworthy", especially given that the Xbox live leaderboard mandates effective conditions for not cheating. The data is parsed server side, so I'm not sure how one could even theoretically not be above board. Maybe someone is just butt hurt.
Seems legit to me.
Dude, you have to start sticking something in your videos or pictures WITH the score saying that it is yours. I've said no to probably 50 scores of yours. Find a napkin and write your username on it...add it as a title to the beginning of the video. ANYTHING. Help us help you.
If you play on 3 lives only (arcade mode), then you high score will be uploaded to leaderboards. If you set the game for any more lives, then it will not.
You are a worthy adversary :)
I want to support this, but this photo could be from anywhere. Next time, write your username on a bar napkin and just set it on the glass. That alone would have gotten 40% more yes votes.
Challenge accepted :)
Game 1, all settings default.
I originally submitted this incorrectly as emulated. I fixed it now :)
I had it added today though, and when I submitted it I submitted it as such.
Hey fellas, this isn't emulated, this is GBA. How do I petition to fix that?
I'm not sure why some of these post sideways, they aren't on my desktop.
The patch score will be mine!
You should try to post a screen shot in addition to a video. Some of us try to keep this site moving by voting a lot. I try to devote a solid hour per week to voting, so that I return the favor for people voting for me. I average over double the number of votes with a screen shot, as watching videos takes time and bandwidth.
Thanks for listening :)
Well, it's on Atari.com. You wouldn't be a mechanical engineer by chance, would you ;)
It's a web emulated version of Phoenix. Phoenix was called Phoenix Revenge in certain countries. The site is legit. Check it out here:
I like it because it is not filtered on my corporate laptop :) I have to do something during teleconferences after all.
It's actually Atari's, oddly enough. Check it out:
https://www.atari.com/arcade/arcade/yars-revengeYou can play the most original version besides the actual 2600 game now :)
Thanks. This reminds me of fighting for high scores in my local pizza shop about 25 years ago. I dig it.
