Yes from me...
This is the one version that I’ve never played before, it looks rife with apprehension and anxiety, to say the least. Brutal.

Man, that’s a beautiful version of Galaxian. I’ve been playing a ton of the NES version and going after the world record but I forgot how seamless and smooth the ColecoVision engine was. Wow.
Isn’t Planet Patrol the first *shmup in platform history? (Not ship lol)
Isn’t Planet Patrol the first ship in platform gaming history? One of these days I promise (more than likely with the help of save states) to post a video that proves the glory of that game. It does not get a lot of love from most gamers but I always enjoyed it and sometimes the “dud” missiles lends itself to the challenge. I think it was a well designed game and would love to see someone conquer like 20 levels of it at a world class pace.
ProSystem has that epic version of Joust...and that Asteroids 3D that I used to have the record on (expert setting) but lost the evidence, the Centipede is top shelf, etc etc. plus a tailor-made platform for modern homebrews (like the Jaguar). Beef Drop absolutely destroys me. Is there a Defender homebrew for the 7800?
Thanks again guys!
Lol Mark, sorry... However, I did check out that Atari Compendium website and it is very interesting. Of course, the two records I wanted to see legit video on are non existent (Jr pac man and Stargate for the 2600) conveniently have no evidences. Did enjoy seeing some old names from the past though.
Thanks banes...I have a wretched 77% legit score from that debacle when it was in the 90s. I know I need to post new scores but left due to downvoting and trolls and such. Now I’m sort of in the feeling out process again and it appears there are some legit, passionate, and talented gamers on here now.
Yes from me.
Terrific version and very playable. As usual, the ProSystem...delivers.
Never mind, flashback 2 has its own category of course. Duh...
Nice score, very desirable and pertinent trophy. Congratulations!
Yes from Fort Atari...
Nice cache of SpectraVision. Still wanna see someone (with or without save states) get a deep, deep run on Planet Patrol.
Nice score and great video.
This game is beautiful and kicks my arse every time I play it but I do get slowly better at it each time. I wonder if anyone can actually get super deep into the game or, (like jr pac man for the 2600) it is some sick programmers joke at the end of the Atari lifespan?
How this game can be played well without a trackball is beyond my level of comprehension. Nicely done and great video.
Shattered that one! Nice score and great video.
Yes from Fort Atari
Nice run (especially when one of oyama’s records fall!)
Yes from Fort Atari.
Yes vote from me.
You appear to be a solid player, nice to see. Love the Imagic motto, “We don’t port arcade games, arcade games port our stuff.”
Gopher maybe?! I think I’ll pass on this title though.
Appears to be one of the larger sprites in the 2600 library, I can think of Mangia and the hackey sacker in California Games. There’s one or two more that are close can’t think of them right now.
Enjoyed the video, I’m terrible at this game so I always enjoy a solid River Raid run!
Love me some Space Invaders runs! I’m chasing the NES Galaxian record now but still love this classic.
This indeed is a desirable record, this game with difficulty A. Championship caliber playing needed to approach the 5k benchmark that is Space Invaders.
Space Invaders can still humble even the most seasoned players, especially in difficulty A mode, some 42 years later. Great programming effort by the Atari development team with this title.
Yes vote from me. Seems like he is on a mission, outta his way!
Yes. Space Invaders for life.
Yes from me!
It’s amazing how this first generation game still holds up today with its challenging gameplay and array of modalities. I never tire of Space Invaders and there’s so many different variations to challenge even the most seasoned gamer 40 years later.
Thanks doguhnew, I enjoy Pinball Deluxe and now I’m on to my other goals (mainly Atari on through the Sega Genesis) but always have time for decent virtual pinball. Like the old saying goes, “Life isn’t just about video games, you have to find time for pinball too.”
Again, please let me rebound from my erroneous mispostings last year (posting Asteroids Xbox Atari in the Atari emulator category) This was embarrassing and humbling to say the least and I felt like quite the pariah lol. Now, I am more seasoned High Score member, and look forward to playing more great games and posting more, (hopefully), great scores. Thanks everyone!
Immensely appreciated guys! All because of a misplaying my rating plummeted. Again, I thank you, for I believe I am a fair voter too and does Atari Flashback 2 count as emulator or actual hardware?
I got the Wild West score (awaiting votes as we speak) and I am now free to try to get a great Carnival score.
Guys, please help me rebound from my horrible errors regarding my Xbox/ Atari emulator scores which severely crippled my ratings. I realize the error of my ways and I assure the High Score community that such ineptitude shall never occur again! Thanks and game on!
This original version of Wild West is ridiculously hard at achieving high scores and points are at a premium and not cheap. Finally, I cracked the 15 million mark.
Nice run and a great game!
That was some top-shelf Popeye and a fun video indeed. Nice job have you broken 200k yet?
Will give it a go today, I still play a lot of Pinball Deluxe original.
Nice score and congratulations!
Nice score! Congrats, always liked this version, those warmers are mean. I want the Defender 2 2600 world record but it’s sooo brutal!
Nice job, a fun and very fast table with the wood playfield, congrats! Will try my best to compete.
Nice playing for sure
Nice job and great score!
I assure you this version is as true an emulation of the classic hardcopy on Gods green earth. As smooth as it gets...emulation is emulation. Nothing is better.
Greetings from Mukilteo!
nice job and great score!
Did you notice any uptick in difficulty after say the 10th table or any rng with the AI attack formations...did it become an exercise in endurance or evasion?
I think this game is brilliant...i believe it is only like 24k in size...I can only imagine a 64k version or a great 7800 version...it did a great job with Galaga but ran a bit slow...I can imagine 7800 Galaxian would be impressive.
Congrats on breaking 100k and attaining one of the more pertinent records in all of gaming...nicely done!
I've been playing the daylights out of this game lately and I'm only averaging 30k. I don't get it I'm a decent enough player just can't get over the hump. It is really frustrating me
Thank you...I've cracked 100k before but I'm rusty on the 2600 version...I've been addicted to the NES version but I love this version as well.
That's some nice Food Fight...great run.
Yes...the 7800 version is being unkind to me at the moment.
Amazing! This is one game that has my number.
Wow thats some nice Stampede...good job!
I posted this on your YouTube channel about possible Stella engine manipulation regarding your incredibly "lucky" run of banana boards after the score of 130,000 or so. Yes, I know there are random elements of Ms Pac Man (I'm not sure about the 2600 version however, maybe someone can chime in on the RNG of the fruit on this version). I woukld have voted no for this video even tbough I vote yes on all of your other videos Wilson...so no lack of respect intended, you are a fine retro player. I am about to attempt to beat this score and I don't envision having the luck that you had. Come on lets face it...literally over 120,000 of your points came on just bananas in the latter stages of the game. Your play was really erratic throughout yet you still managed 2000,000+ points. Again...I know you are a fine player.
The picture says melon one but the video is apple one.
