Wow, this one is a LOT tougher than Streets of Rage 2!
It's not been cheap, but a few years back it was possible to get boards from Japan relatively cheap, these days not so much, although there are still bargains out there.
Hmm, quite a lot, I started collecting them a few years back, probably about 70 boards and around another 70 cartridge based arcade games, such as Neo Geo MVS and IGS PGM. I started out with console games and eventually moved onto arcade hardware. Problem is they take up so much space!
Yea it should be possible, although it'll involve removing the board and wiring inside the stick. Then you just need to run the button and joystick wires from the JAMMA harness to the button and stick connectors inside the controller. Is it a MAME cabinet you have or just a PC and monitor?
Haha god damn it, well done. Shouldn't be too long before you can beat the senior stage.
Cheers! I went for the Junior stage high score as well but it's really tough with the sharp corners, only managed 8m on that and gave up.
If you're using pad hacks it should be as easy as using an RGB scart cable in your DC, then making a female scart to a 56 pin finger board carrying the signal from the necessary video, sound and ground pins.
Me too, I love playing on the 29" monitors. Have you got an arcade cabinet?
Nice score, not sure I'll be able to beat that without sinking some serious time into it. Yes vote here.
Great game, and a yes from me :-)
Decent score, I tried this one recently and got nowhere!
Yea, it's the twin Famicom. The controllers are hard wired and have about 4 feet of cable, so you pretty much have to sit with the console at your feet!
Yea I've got a few cabinets. I was playing that on my Astro City. They're great fun, but not very house friendly in terms of size.
Hi, yea I've got quite a lot of JAMMA games. I just saw your score go up for MAME and it inspired me to play. I've voted yes on yours as well, you put up a lot of scores!
That screen looks like it puts out a great picture. Oh, and voting yes
Great game this, have a yes from me.
Yes from me.
Thanks. I've done a few arcade videos but the camera I have really struggles to focus. I'll continue to try to video any games on real arcade hardware, but on consoles and MAME I'll just be doing photos.
Thanks Derek. I seem to get no votes even on videos. I've already accepted I'll never have a 99% legit rating here,.
I did it with one, never tried with 2, might give it a shot some time though.
Thanks, it's one of my favourite games, and was one of the first arcade games I bought.
Score at 30:03. I've scored much higher than this but not on video.
Interesting game Mark!
Thanks for the support guys. I've got a camera, but it doesn't like recording moving video, it keeps sending it out of focus. You can see a couple of attempts I did with SF Alpha 3 and SF vs X-Men, it's not pretty.
The key to scoring on this game is making sure your chain is always active, you need to make sure you're destroying enemies pretty much constantly.
I'm not sure why people don't believe this score, its not even that high. If it keeps getting negatives I'll redo the run with a screen capture tool.
Yea I am doing now. This score was done before I signed up to the site and I just had the picture on my phone.
Note it is the player 1 score I am submitting on this picture. The high score on the photo was done on easy setting, this was done on normal.
Completed without continues using my PC Engine Duo.
Score can be seen at 10:31 and in the last few seconds of the video.
Score visible at 14:42. This is the Japanese version of the arcade, hence the Zero 3 title. The games are identical.
Score was achieved on a real arcade machine at arcadeclub (http://www.arcade-club.com/).
I lost my last life on stage 15, which is the outer space stage on the 3rd loop.
