Link to my score at TG to verify it was done by D.B. Cooper and I show my face at the end of the video.
This score has been accepted at Twin Galaxies and the attached link shows the player is D.B. Cooper. I even show my face at the end of the video.
I had one restart so the gameplay starts at 4 minutes in.
I see my description says 32b but this is 32a. You can tell by the space ships appearing.
Had a few restarts. Game starts at 7:45
Why 3 no votes and why is the reason "other". I don't usually worry about the occasional no vote but 3 out of the first 15 is perplexing.
1cc. Played for Crap tournament #9
Played for Crap Tournament 9. http://tournaments.twingalaxies.com/#/event/crapTournament9/main
This is a bad score but I'll not be playing this turd anymore.
Never played this game before so thought it would be a good idea to start with Hardcore difficulty. This is just like the Gameboy Color version of Asteroids.
Rollovers at 10:17 and 18:41
This is an excellent score but without video I can't tell if only one credit was used.
Settings shown at start. This score is second game of video starting at 5:27
This video is really choppy but this score is so low it shouldn't matter.
Rollover at 17:17
Rollover at 17:49
Took me a few tries to get this one. Starts at 19:35 of video. Settings are shown at the beginning but can be determined by watching gameplay.
Rollover at 13:23
I did this back when I was first learning to use my Webcam so the quality isn't very good. I think it's still better than just as picture as you can see the gameplay, me entering my initials and the score on the scoreboard.
Rollover at 17:50. Never lost a ship.
This score is the second game played on the video. Starts at 9:40.
Voting no because of multiple pauses during gameplay.
I admit that I'm behind on voting but I try pretty much every day. It's just that I keep getting a web site error and after that happens a couple of times I tend to give up. It's frustrating.
Difficulty A selected at 10 seconds. The only difference between A and B is that B has autofire.
Perfect game starts at 6:18
Did you use warps to get this score? I really don't like voting yes on Android scores without video because there are so many ways the score can be manipulated and this is a very large score and a huge increase from your first one. If you started on level one, how many levels did you complete and how long did it take? I assume you have your ship completely leveled up? So many questions without being able to see the gameplay.
IMO the best solution is to have two tracks, one with timer bonus on and one with it off.
I quit this game when I decided I didn't want to play long enough for that first place score. This version of the game is really boring.
You have a lot of really good scores and there's a few I'd like to challenge but I'm not much of a fan of Missle Command or Pac Man.
I could never play with that controller. The buttons are on the wrong side!
Great score. Congrats!
Not the number one score but an improvement for me. This was my score for the Retro Nintendo Online Open #1.
Thank you for posting this information.
Thank you. I'm using an Xarcade controller.
This was played using Retrouprising's emulator. You can see at the beginning of the video that it was played by me and that there were no pauses used. You can tell it's difficulty A by the precense of space ships.
Voting no for leeching.
This was my score submitted for 2016 Yolympics.
Second attempt. Starts at 1:35
Damn, I forgot to hit the publish button again. All should be fixed now, thanks for the heads up.
Starts at 16:14
I forgot to unplug my web cam so some unintended audio made it on the video. This game is like Asteroids Deluxe and gets crazy hard really fast.
This is going to sound harsh but I've been playing this game for a bit and there is no way I can approve this score without video showing the settings. The reasons are that this is a really high score but even more important is that there are so many different settings. You could have set them to kids difficulty with extras every 5k. If you really can score this high on default settings then I really would love to see a video just to admire your gameplay.
This really is a cool game and I look forward to the challenge of scoring over 100k. So far I haven't managed to even break 40k.
I've never heard of this game before but as a major Asteroids fan I spent a little time looking into the game. The next highest score I can find for this game is 108k which means this score is HUGE. When submitting a score this big you will always get no votes without a video (you will sometimes get some even with a video). My issue would be, with just pictures how am I to tell you played this game on default settings or didn't use some kind of cheat or something? For some of us, extraordinary scores require full proof evidence.
This looks like a really cool game. Can't wait to give it a try. Congrats on a great score!
This game works like the Home Run Derby. As long as you get a Strike you can keep going. Anything other than a Strike is an out and after 10 outs it's game over.
There is zero reason to vote no for this. The complete video is right there for you to watch.
One warm up game. Starts at 7:00
Took me a few tries to get this one. Starts at 6:21
I see it's Ateroids but how am I to tell this is Atari Anniversary Edition for the PC? I'm gonna vote yes but in the future it would be helpful to post the boot up of a pc game so I can tell what you're playing.
Starts at 11:07
Also, default setting are for Hard difficulty which means level 1 starts with 4 big rocks and seekers show up. This game was not played on Hard difficulty either.
The rules say to use default setting and in MAME the default settings are 2 ships to start. I'm sure this will get voted in anyways just like the top score was but I have to vote no. That's an excellent score but an extra ship really does make a big difference on this game.
TG has a track for 5 ships for Arcade but no for MAME. The score I have on this site is actually a 5 ship score done on Revision 4 rom that is harder because the saucer shoots through the screen. The high score on the arcade track is 299,010.
MAME has a Single Ship track and I've requested for this site to track the same thing. The high score is 177,480. I recently managed a single ship rollover with a final score of 109k.
I've been playing Asteroids since the game came out and I've never seen nor ever heard of a game that has a second row of ships. Because the game continues to draw the ships in memory, even though they aren't showing they are taking up memory space. Once you get to around 150 extra ships, the game actually goes into a slowdown state because of the lack of memory. If you get to 256 ships, the game tweeks and you will only have 1 ship. This is the same type of weirdness that causes games like Donkey Kong and Pac Man to have kill screens.
The TG High score for MAME is 3.5M and was done by me I'd submit it here but I have no idea how to record and download a 8.5 hr video to youtube and here.
The TG Arcade record is 41,838,740. The player used a speed up hack to increase the scoring rate so it took right around 55 hours.
Only died once at 25,620. Ran out of time and had to quit playing. You can see this is a game played by D.B. Cooper at the very beginning of the video. Used Retrouprising's Atari 2600 emulator.
"This video does not exist"
Haters gonna hate, Nothing we can do about that.
For those that don't want to watch the video. Rollovers at:
Final score and initials entered at 2:44.30
Nice job. Loves me some Asteroids.
Just to show I don't vote no on all picture only submissions, I voted yes on this one. I can't tell for sure you used the default setting of 3 lives but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. This is pretty strange game that I would have never discovered without MAME.
But with just pictures, how am I supposed to deterine what settings you played on? I see the bonus is set to 160 but I'm pretty sure the game length is a different setting. You should try a screen capture program like OBS. It's really easy to make videos especially on nice short games like this one.
This is a clone of Space Force which is a really bad rip off of Asteroids. I'm going to have to vote no with just pictures because I can't tell what game you're playing.
2nd attempt. Starts at 1:40
2nd attempt on video. Starts at 1:55
Looks like you shorted yourself 100 pts but I'll accept the lower score. Nice job looping the game.
Sorry for the stupid question but I'm not familiar with this game. Why did you chose Sample Game instead of Game Play?
Thank you. I will not be done with this game until I get a kill screen.
Sorry if this makes me a troll but I won't vote yes on this game without both a video of the gameplay and the person playing the game. There are way too many ways to cheat at this game to accept the score with pictures alone. Very nice score though.
"the game is firing too fast it looks to be a turbo cheat" I do not cheat and have posted a video for anyone to watch. Gonna need more than a screanshot to approve this score. It's a great score and I know it's possible but you gotta show your gameplay.
I love game where you blow up for no reason
Highscore game starts at 21:12. Sorry about the many restarts. Not an easy game.
You can see rom played at beginning of video.
This is what the one I played on looked like.
This is another that looks like a cabaret but I've never seen a Glaxian that didn't use a joystick for left/right. Nice score!
1942 is an awesome game but not one I've seen very often. Only ever played on one real cab and that was in someone's private collection. Either you're a really big man or the game you're playing on is a caberet. The one I played on didn't look anything like the one you're playing on. Nice score!
I get 2 no votes on every MAME score I submit. The reason is Other and it usually happens within the first hour or so of the submission so it's somebody who's on the site almost all the time. It's a little annoying but really doesn't matter. Nice score!
It feels pretty small when compared to the rest of the IGBY scores but thank you.
I'm not sure how that happens but thanks for the heads up. It's fixed.
No wonder it was getting so many no votes. Thanks for the heads up. It's fixed now.
Please see second video. First was a mistake.
Made it to final boss.
Made it to the last stage of the second loop.
Thanks for the heads up. Voted no on all that I could. Not sure it's gonna matter. I still have more scores to submit
Accept. How do you play Xbox live on the Xbox One? Is this something new? I've been wanting to do this since I got my Xbox One over two years ago.
This is a nice score for this game. I can't imagine ever putting a quarter into this bitd but it's like a good phone app game in that you want to play just one more time.
Wow, I"m not sure. I've never heard of that issue before. It's worth a try.
When you get to the black screen, just hit enter. Game will then start.
I'm gonna try
Fixed. Thank you.
No different than any other Atari game like Rodblasters, Tempest, Quantum, Blasteroids ect. You shouldn't have to start on level one on any of these games.
Thanks to oyamafamily for pointing out my typo.
I was not able to put my initials in for this game but you can see this is on my youtube page and also is entered at Twingallaxies.
The original arcade game uses a trackball. Cool game.

Couple of restarts. Score starts at 5:40.
Had a couple of restarts so scoring attempt starts at 13:50. Console and cartridge shown at end of video.
Somebody voted no because a screenshot is not enough evidence and they'd like a video. As you can see, the video is there. Is there anything I can do about this or do I just have to take a hit to my Legit rating just because someone was being an asshole?
This game is all about memorizing the pattern for each level. Score maxes at 999,999 which is very doable if your willing to put the time into learning all the stages. This is as far as I made it before I got bored with the game.
Not sure. It's a widely accepted method to play the game. This score has been approved at both MARP and TG and was the second place score at the 2015 Yolympics (online MAME tournament).
Yes. When the bonus is at max multiplier, it gives big points and lots of bonus fuel for crashing into the turrets. Took many attempts to figure out where it could be done.
I used buttons on my Xarcade.
This is an awesome lessor known game. If you're looking for something new to play, give this one a go.
This game has two courses. Endurance Course and Fighting Course. I submitted for Fighting Course because my score is much higher. Highest on Endurance Course is 78,140.
For those that don't want to watch the 1 hour video, I inculded a screen shot. You can tell that the score is rolled by seeing the 64 in the middle of the screen as that's the level. You can't get to level 64 and only have 1,730 points.
I messed up my initials on this one. The score has been approved at TG if that helps. http://www.twingalaxies.com/showthread.php/142790
Just a small increase in score but this has video instead of just a screen shot.
No way to enter intitials for this game.
No, no shield for this game. Just left/right and fire. What I think you might be seeing as that before the objects form, they can't kill you.
Ya, my bad. This is a game that uses a steering wheel for controls and I was playing with buttons on my xarcade and couldn't get the initials screen to work properly. My other mistake was thinking people would see my name, Dick Moreland, over at MARP and know that's me. Thanks for the link to RU.
Looks like I entered the wrong score. Game gave me an extra point between when i died and what it put on the high score screen.
I'll attache another screen shot to help with picking the day to start on. This is an awesome game so would love to see someone else kill it.
A lot of these Atari games allowed you to pick which level to start on. Tempest, Black Widow, S.T.U.N Runner and Road Blasters come to mind but there are a bunch more. IMO with these games you should be able to start on whatever level you want to get the bonus.
Guess I remember why I quit submitting scores here. A no vote because they couldn't tell it was me? The link above doesn't work so good but you couldn't put a little effort into it? Let's see if this one works better http://replay.marpirc.net/r/apb
Click here to see this score at MARP to verify correct rom was used.
Score is for level 280 but picture shows level 281. Am I missing something?
This is Arcade Classics (prototype) [Missile Command II] Have to vote no because this isn't the right game.
This is not Centipede Revision 2 but Arcade Classics (prototype) [Super Centipede]. Not the same game so I guess I have to vote no. The score is good, just under the wrong game.
I've actually played this game on an original cab and it doesn't suck as bad as the emulated version. That stage you died on is much easier on the original and once you get past that, you get some easy points.

Is there more than one mode for this game? I'm going to submit a Defender score for GBA but the game looks different than this one.

Ya, should have entered my initials but this was played at Retrouprising where it's not needed. Upped my score back in May but forgot to submit here but saw my trophy was cracked. http://www.retrouprising.com/arcade.php?act=Arcade&do=stats&gameid=6366
There we go. One of my favorite old school vector games.
Can't upload a picture right now for some reason. Score was verified at Retrouprising.

I don't play any of the Mario games so I really don't know the rules for that game. RU has a strick no leaching rule and your score will be disqualified if the moderaters decide you violated the rule.
They verify all high scores and any others that are requested. They didn't always have video though so you can't watch any of the older scores.
Yes, emulation only.
When you submit a score, a screen shot is saved and can be viewed uner "View Scores". I right click on the screenshot and pick Save As and save it to a folder on my computer and then download here. Very easy.
Just a small improvement on my last score. This is one of those games where you have to be quick to get a screen print.
No votes? What, you can't read the score?
Is there an actual Asteroids game for the GBA or is this from one of the compilations. Pong/Asteroids/Yars' Revenge or Atari Anniversay Advance?
Played at Retrouprising.
Video can be viewed at Retrouprising. I know people like to see a video when the score is rolled but you can see just from this picture that it has. Proof is in the High-Score shown on the screen and the fact that in this game you can't shoot down 6,680 enemies without rolling the score. Completed the game.
Played at Retrouprising. Game completed.

Recording can be viewed at Retrouprising. Looped the game, this is the second time through.
Stopped by today for lunch and put up a little better score for you to shoot for.
That was done at The Coin Jam and that's my score you're trying to beat (accidentally put in DAK instead of DIK). I hadn't played in months and for some reason got stuck on level 10. I'll put up a much better score next time. If you want some tips, you can view a video of me rolling the score on MAME on this site under Arcade Emulated scores. I'm not sure if we can send emails through this site but if you can and want to meet up sometime, we can try a game or two of two players.
You don't need to watch the video. The fact that these scores have been verified by moderator's who have watched the actual gameplay should be enough. IMO it's much better than just taking a picture of your score with a nametag in front. Not only was my score verified but the method of my gameplay was verified to know I used no cheats or pauses.
This was done on the rom version that can not be marathoned. Video and verified score can be seen here http://www.retrouprising.com/arcade.php?act=Arcade&do=stats&gameid=6362
Game was played at http://www.retrouprising.com/arcade.php?act=Arcade&do=stats&gameid=6956. Video and verified score can be seen there.
This was done on the harder rom (revision 4). What makes it harder is that the small space ship will shoot through the screen so you can't just sit on the opposite side of the screen. This was done using only 5 ships and the score has been rolled. You can see in the photo that I had 11 shps remaining. You start with 3, I earned 13 (extras at 10k) and lost 5 so 11 left. I have a marathon high score over at MARP of 3,511,160 on revision 2 that took 8 hours to play. Video of this game can bee seen (for a donation) at http://www.retrouprising.com/arcade.php?act=Arcade&do=stats&gameid=4904
This was done on the harder version. Only two ships to start and seekers coming out on the first level. Video (with a donation) can be viewed at http://www.retrouprising.com/arcade.php?act=Arcade&do=stats&gameid=4902
Player 2 is used because it shows the millions digit while player one does not. Galaga has a kill screen at waive 256 on easy settings. On hard settings, no kill screen.
