Yars Revenge (Atari 2600 Novice/B)

Wow to much dedication for me. With that I think you have some serious skill.

Now on to my vote.

Gameplay looks proper but the colors change differently from any of what my carts produce. I have 5 carts and there all the same. No grey shields. Eventually your grey shild turns a proper red color and as the game progresses it turns blue which is also proper. Then you go into pink. I never been that high so I do not know but regardless all your shields start out grey.

I know I have a system that produces wrong collors but those colors are consistently wrong. Yours goes from wrom to proper every round you play.

I'm curious what the deal is and if it is only visual I vote yes. Perhaps its your recording device. I really do not know. Even if the cart is wacked or your game system is. If it is colors only I would vote yes. Perhaps it is a special cart which is graphics only being why it was specially signed. I would vote yes. If it is a defective cart though there is no way to tell if it is limited to graphical error.

Do you know anything about any of what I see in your video.

I'm not questioning you or your skill. I just need to know it is a proper entry under the proper game. Other then the color scheme everything looks legit.

Perhaps it is your cart I noticed a glitch at 4:26:54 which you conferm with (ok i'll take it) Makes a odd noize and avoids you. Your reaching such a high score The games were not honestly designed for either. So I really want to vote yes on this one.

Just send a message back about what I post here and I will look into it else where. I can see you honestly played it. Hell you marathoned this. You earned this score. I just at this point want to know your thoughs on this.

Easter egg

Bah you have a hard time finding it. I have a hard time avoiding it ruining my score. Not that it matters now that you posted this 8 hours of impossible.

The video looks different than what my eyes were seeing as I played. I think it may have to do with the refresh rate and the video camera.

The visuals looked even weirder when I was streaming on Twitch. The base didn't even look like it HAD color.

I love ending the game on the Easter egg now that I know how to do it. One of my highlights of Portland Retro Gaming Expo was reaching the Easter egg on the Yars' Revenge arcade machine. I asked HSW about the Yars' arcade game, and he said "that came way later."

You are likely referring to my acoustic guitar with the wood grain look. It's an Ibanez that badly needs a setup. The action is really high, and it is hell on the fingers as a result.

Good lord! Well there goes another game thats pretty much off limits to everyone. I think I'll just delete my Yar's Revenge rom right now...

You have some serious game stamina, I tip my hat to you sir.

I figured it would be your camera. Truth is I know you could simply be stating as such. This took you 8 hours and I doubt you would spend that kind of time on a funky copy that plays damn near the same as an original copy. I will take your word for it that this is authentic jusst like all your other good evidence in the past has shown. I think I will take one last look at your lives count to be sure as I skipped threw many parts of the video. Once I conferm it is running lives proper and all else appears proper other then some silly colors I will vote yes.
